How Are Flowers Delivered?

Have you ever wondered how are flowers delivered? You might imagine the local florist's van making rounds to various businesses and residences, but that is not always the case with today's larger chains.
Because some areas are too remote and/or too expensive to manage in-person delivery, many bouquets these days are shipped via carriers like FedEx or UPS in cardboard parcels.
The bouquets basically then have to be arranged by the recipient. However, in larger areas, in-person delivery is still available. In-person delivery is made by a driver who operates a climate-controlled truck or van.
The flowers are not kept in boxes but are stored in the truck as they will be presented to the recipient. This method of delivery is often more expensive than mail delivery, and recipients may feel obligated to tip the delivery person.
