Will You Be Applauding Your Wedding Florist?

wedding florist Weddings are known for romance, magical moments and grand parties but when you actually start planning one you will suddenly realize there is another side to this fairy tale. The dark side!

I am not against weddings, quite the opposite I love them! I am simply putting it out there that many husbands and wives to-be overwhelm them selves by turning what should be a joyous moment in their lives into one of the most stressful events they will face together.

Getting married is expensive! So be sure you cut corners where you can and always check out the people you hire for services before you leave them a deposit that is most likely non-refundable.

Flowers have become a huge expense of weddings of today. Do not let your wedding florist over extend you by talking you into the most expensive flowers leading you to believe that they are the best for your wedding and are a "must have" to do your marriage justice.

Choose a wedding florist that respects your budget and your ideas. A good florist can help you stretch your dollar while still creating the striking arrangements you have dreamed of. Many times simple flowers make a beautiful statement of pure love and innocence.

Have your florist provide a sample of the flowers they will be ordering so that you are clear on the correct color and other aspects that have agreed upon. Seeing is believing,Just look at the couple in New York suing their wedding florist for 40,000 dollars for using the wrong color of flowers at their wedding.

Surround yourself with the professionals who have earned a good reputation and will respect your wishes and budget then relax and focus on more important things like the guest list!

Flowers Delivered 365 - Peter DeFelice

Sparta resident Peter DeFelice, thirty-eight, has his beginnings in the floral business. His mom and uncle were both florists. As the owner of 2 floral shops, he is following in their footsteps, and enjoying himself along the way.

"This job is a lot of fun," DeFelice said, "I get to really work with the customers and share their lives a little bit."

"I love working in Sussex County," DeFelice said. "I've lived here just about all my life. I like the small hometown feeling and everyone is friendly," he said. "Now, having kids, I realize how important it is to have what the county offers."

"What makes us successful," he said, "is that we sell the highest quality at the lowest prices."

DeFelice said he personally schools his workers and that some of the most important things to know when learning flower arrangement are the importance of color and basic space perception.

"What goes where," he said.
